Casino Blackjack

It can be fun to play online casino BlackJack and if you are not to sure on your skills on the game you can have next to you a strategy card open in another window. However, playing a land based casino with a bunch of other peoples who stay serious at their tables, can be intimidating.
Having a strategy card with you online is fine, but bring it with you to the table at a landbased casino... Well you don't want to look like a rookie.

The rules of BlackJack differ slightly from area to area and/or from casino to casino. Basically you will run into two types of casino BlackJack, one is where the cards are dealt face up and one when the cards are dealt face down. Both types requires different ways to handle your cards, but you will handle your chips in the same way in both of the situations.
You can transform your cash into chips buying some from the dealer or from the cashier, before you go to the table. If you choose to buy from the dealer find yourself an open seat at a table and after the current round ends, ask the dealer if you can ??buy in?f. Than place your cash beyond the area you place bets and the dealer will take the money, spread it out for the cameras, and than give you chips.
The chips can be stacked in front of you, other players do the same. After the cards are shuffled, to start another round, every player must place a bet. You should start with the table minimum and put your chips in the betting area of the BlackJack table.
In some casinos the dealer will shuffle the cards, and then ask a player to cut them. If you're that player, just take the plastic card, and stick it somewhere in the middle of the deck. After you cut the deck, the dealer ??burns?? the top card taken from the deck after its cut.
Also, in some casinos the cards are dealt face up, in some face down, as i said before. In the first case you should never touch/handle the cards. They are dealt face up to prevent a few types of player cheating, which are changing either the cards or the size of the wager. That way of playing is probably the best.
When playing face-up, indicate to the dealer you want a hit by making a beckoning motion with your finger or tapping the table behind your cards with your fingers while saying hit. To indicate a stand, just wave your hand over the cards while saying stand.
If you are playing face down you will need to touch your cards to be able to see them but in that case you only touch them with one hand and the other hand you must always keep it off of the table. That rule is demanded by the casinos to prevent cheating.
To indicate a hit while playing face down, use the cards as you would your fingers in a face up game. To indicate a hit, scratch the corner of the cards on the table felt while saying hit. To stand just flip your cards over and lay them down.
If you want to tip the dealer at a blackjack table it is a very good idea and you have to ways of doing that. One is to drop him a chip and simply say ??for the dealer??, second is to play a bet for the dealer on your hand and u place a chip above your betting area and also you will say ??for the dealer??. If your hand wins the dealer collects the winings of his bet as a tip.
